Mishnah Rishonah below!

What is Mishnah Rishonah?

When the yeshiva that I taught in had a מִשְׁנַיוֹת contest every year, I always encouraged my תַּלְמִידִים to participate. When my son entered the grade level that participates in this contest, I tried to encourage him as well, but was surprised to find that, as bright as he was, there was nothing out there that he could use to learn מִשְׁנָה on his own. Much of the English Language מִשְׁנַיוֹת were way above his level in language and comprehension. I, therefore, decided to put something together that a boy in the upper elementary or even high school level (or older) could use to help him learn מִשְׁנָה on his own.

I believe that this work is unique in that it actually helps a person learn to translate the words of the Mishnah while showing him how to understand its terse language. The reader will find nothing new in the explanation of the מִשְׁנָה.  Every comment is based on the classic מְפָרְשֵׁי הַמִשְׁנָה - The רַב, תּוֹסְפוֹת יוֹם טוֹב, and the תִּפאֶרֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל, as well as the גְמָרָא with the רִאשׁוֹנִים and אַחֲרוֹנִים. While every effort has been made to avoid errors, it would be appreciated if any mistakes that are found are brought to my attention.

I hope אי''ה to complete most or all of סֵדֶר מוֹעֵד as well as some other מַסֶכְתּוֹת as well. It is my desire that this סֶפֶר will give “future תַּלְמִידֵי חַכָמִים” a head start as they dive into the יַם הַתַּלְמוּד and complete, independently, the entire מִשְׁנָה and the rest of ש''ס.
